The Sheep Dairy

Small-scale dairy has been Amber’s passion since her first foray into farming as a teenager. In those early years she scraped together enough savings to purchase a couple of dairy goats, and fell in love with the milkmaid lifestyle. Over time as the farm expanded, she moved on to milking Dexter, Kerry and Jersey cows, and in 2019 brought home a couple of East Friesian dairy sheep. It was these two ewes that sparked the idea of a small-scale commercial sheep dairy.

Fast forward to winter 2024, when 10 East Friesian ewe lambs made the long journey from Ontario to Vancouver Island, and became the foundation of our dairy flock.

We are currently working towards being licensed in time for the 2026 milking season. We are delighted to be working directly with Haltwhistle Cheese Company to turn our sheep’s milk into beautiful, hand-crafted cheeses.

We often receive inquiries regarding purchasing milk from our farm. We unfortunately are not able to sell milk directly to the public due to our licensing restrictions, but we hope you will enjoy our other products.
