After many years of planning and preparation, we have turned our dream of operating the Island’s only sheep dairy, into reality. We have nearly completed construction and look forward to receiving our license to operate this summer.
In the winter of 2024, 10 East Friesian ewes made the long, snowy journey from Ontario, Canada to Vancouver Island.
As per the conditions of our license, we cannot sell our milk direct to consumer, however we are thrilled to have partnered with Haltwhistle Cheese Co. who will turn our milk into beautiful, artisan cheeses. Cheese will be available in the fall of 2026.

Sheep thrive on smaller acreages, and require less infrastructure for handling and husbandry. We enjoy working with sheep, and consider them to be incredibly beneficial animals, providing meat, fleece and milk. Sheep milk is unique and ideal for cheese-making thanks to it’s high level of solids. All sheep milk is A2A2 and contains high levels of fat and conjugated linoleic acid. Sheep dairy is common in Eastern Canada, however we will be only the second licensed sheep dairy in all of BC.
Please Note: We do not have any East Friesian breeding stock at this time and all of our milk is destined for Haltwhistle
